Built in 1990 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2015, the modern Hotel Arona Gran has a total of 391 guest rooms, including 379 twin rooms and a further 12 Junior Suites, which are built over 7 floors, and set amidst spacious sub-tropical gardens and sun terraces, around a large central pool area overlooking the Atlantic Ocean towards the old fishing port of Los Cristianos and the nearby island of La Gomera.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a modern "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a direct dial telephone, satellite television with music channels, safety deposit box available for rental, mini bar and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area towards the sea.

In addition to the above features, a number of guest rooms at Hotel Arona Gran have also been specially adapted for disabled guests, and all rooms are provided with a daily maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen twice a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar with show cooking, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, public internet terminals with WiFi access in selected area of the hotel, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

For business guests, the Hotel Arona Gran also offers the use of 2 large air conditioned conference and meeting rooms, seating a maximum of 450 people, both of which are equipped with a selection of modern audio visual aids.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes 3 large outdoor freshwater swimming pools for adults, with integrated children's section, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols.

Other leisure facilities includes 2 squash courts along with a cardiovascular gymnasium with sauna, and both pool and table tennis tables. Of special interest to golfers, the Hotel Arona Gran also offers the use of an indoor driving range and putting green.

The Hotel Arona Gran also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring rifle shooting, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment, with either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
