Hotel Riu Arecas - La Caleta

Part of the prestigious Riu Group of hotels, the 4 star rated Hotel Riu Arecas is situated around 450 metres from the sea front promenade and Playa del Duque beach, in the popular resort of La Caleta on the south west coast of Tenerife.

The hotel is approximately 25km west of the Reina Sofia International Airport, and 500 metres from the commercial centre of the resort where you will find a selection of bars, restaurants and shops.

Built in 1998 and fully refurbished in the summer 2015, the modern low rise Hotel Riu Arecas has a total of 401 guest rooms, which are built over 5 floors, and set amidst spacious sub-tropical gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a modern "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a direct dial telephone, complimentary high speed WiFi internet access, a satellite television with music channels, safety deposit box available for rental, mini bar and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area towards the sea.

In addition to the above features, all rooms are also provided with a daily maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen twice a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar with show cooking, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes 2 large outdoor freshwater swimming pools for adults, one of which is heated during the cooler winter months, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols.

Guests staying at the Hotel Riu Arecas also have the opportunity to relax and unwind at the nearby "Body Love" Health and Beauty Centre, situated at the adjacent Hotel Riu Palace Tenerife, which features a cardiovascular gymnasium with sauna and Jacuzzi, as well as a beauty salon with hairdresser.

The Hotel Riu Arecas also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring rifle shooting, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
