Hotel La Siesta - Playa de las Americas

Part of the Alexandre Group of hotels, the 4 star rated Hotel La Siesta is situated around 300 metres from the sea front promenade and Playa de Troya beach, in a quiet area of the otherwise lively resort of Playa de las Americas on the south west coast of Tenerife.

The hotel is approximately 17km west of the Reina Sofia International Airport, and a few steps from the commercial centre of the resort where you will find a wide selection of bars, restaurants and shops.

Built in 1985 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2014, the modern low rise Hotel La Siesta has a total of 282 guest rooms, including 132 standard twin rooms and a further 150 "Club Alexandre" Suites, all of which are built over 3 floors and set amidst almost 9,000m2 of sub-tropical gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a modern "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a direct dial telephone, satellite television with music channels, safety deposit box available for rental, mini bar and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area.

In addition to the above features, 5 guest rooms at the Hotel La Siesta have also been specially adapted for disabled guests, and all rooms are provided with a daily maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen twice a week.

Also available on request, are a small number of "Club Alexandre" rooms which feature a bathroom with a 2 person Jacuzzi.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar with show cooking, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

For business guests, the Hotel La Siesta also offers the use of 2 large air conditioned conference and meeting rooms, with the capacity to seat a maximum of 200 people, both of which are fully equipped with a selection of modern audio visual aids.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with integrated children's section, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols.

Other leisure facilities include the 350m2 "Magic Park" children's playground and mini-club, along with a hard surface tennis court, a multi sports activity area for five-a-side football and volleyball etc, and both pool and table tennis tables.

Guests staying at the Hotel La Siesta also have the opportunity to relax and unwind at the newly opened 500m2 "Natural" Spa and Wellness Centre, which features a cardiovascular gymnasium, along with a water circuit with Jacuzzis, plunge pools, water jets and saunas, as well as offering guests a variety of other cosmetic and beauty treatments.
