Grand Hotel Callao - Callao Salvaje

The 4 star rated Grand Hotel Callao is situated around 2km from the coast, in the quiet resort of Callao Salvaje on the rugged west coast of Tenerife. The hotel is approximately 25km north west of the Reina Sofia International Airport, and a short walk from the commercial centre of the resort, where you will find a small selection of bars, restaurants and shops.

Built in 2009, the modern low rise Grand Hotel Callao has a total of 90 guest rooms, including 30 standard twin rooms, 45 twin rooms with a large private terrace, 7 triple rooms and a further 8 twin rooms Lux, all of which are distributed between 4 buildings, and set amidst spacious sub-tropical gardens and sun terraces, around a large central pool area overlooking the Atlantic Ocean towards the nearby island of La Gomera.

Decorated in a modern style, all guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower, bathrobes and hair dryer, along with a flat screen satellite television, direct dial telephone, mini bar, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, many of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area towards the sea.

In addition to the above features, Lux rooms at the Grand Hotel Callao also feature a bathroom with large 1.40m x 2.00m Jacuzzi bath, and all guest rooms are provided with a daily maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required, and change of bed linen twice a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, laundry and medical services, public internet terminals with high speed WiFi access available in selected areas, and both lounge and pool bars.

For business guests the Grand Hotel Callao also offers the use of the "La Catedral" multi purpose conference and meeeting room, which has the capacity to seat 500 guests.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with separate children's splash pool, and spacious sun terraces and gardens including a separate nudist area, which are furnished with loungers and parasols.

Of special interest to sports enthusiasts, the Grand Hotel Callao also offers the use of 3 hard surface tennis courts, along with a further 3 paddle courts, a squash court, a multi-sports activity area for football and volleyball etc, and 9 hole pitch and putt golf course.

Guests staying at the Grand Hotel Callao also have the opportunity to relax and unwind at the hotels' own 18,000m2 Spa and Wellness Centre, which is designed to recreate the atmosphere of the Aztec culture, and which features a cardiovascular gymnasium with sauna, Jacuzzi, steam bath, thermal bath, cold room, relaxing room with colour therapy, hydro-massage, jets, waterfalls, shower areas, as well as offering a large choice of different kinds of massages and facial and body treatments.
